Abstract

In this review we analyze the Spanish textbook published by Úbeda Mansilla and Escribano Ortega, Arquitectura y construcción. Español académico y profesional [Architecture and Construction: Academic and Professional Spanish]. We describe its structure and contents, as well as its methodology, and we assess its most significant contributions. 

Author Biography

Salvador Rodriguez Nuero , Universidad Politécnica de Madrid

Salvador Rodríguez Nuero is a full professor at the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid, where he offers courses in English and Spanish for academic purposes. He holds a master’s degree in Romance Languages from the University of Cincinnati and a doctorate from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. He was the chair of the Department of Applied Linguistics in Science and Technology at the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid from 2004 to 2012 and currently serves as the assistant director of the Languages for Globalization Program at the same university.
