Broadening the classroom walls: translanguaging and multimodal co-creation in museum-based language learning

Abstract

La linguistica educativa si sta orientando sempre più verso approcci olistici; tuttavia, la ricerca che coinvolge gli adulti rimane scarsa, in particolare per quanto riguarda la didattica del translanguaging e gli approcci basati sulle arti. Questo studio affronta questo bisogno della ricerca attraverso la descrizione del progetto "Io vado al museo", una collaborazione tra un'università italiana e un museo locale. Il progetto ha coinvolto un gruppo di apprendenti in attività di interazione e osservazione di opere d'arte e nella successiva produzione in classe di artefatti come risposte creative ai temi emersi al museo. Questi artefatti sono diventati infine oggetti museali a tutti gli effetti, attraverso la creazione di un museo virtuale su izi.TRAVEL. Adottando un'etnografia critica qualitativa, i dati sono stati raccolti tramite focus group con gli studenti, interviste agli insegnanti e l'analisi degli artefatti. I risultati dimostrano un impatto positivo su quattro dimensioni: linguistica, personale/affettiva, sociale e civica/democratica.

Claudia Meneghetti, Ca' Foscari University of Venice

Claudia Meneghetti è assegnista di ricerca in Linguistica educativa presso l’Univeristà Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, dove esplora approcci innovativi in educazione linguistica. La sua ricerca si focalizza sull’educazione plurilingue e sull’insegnamento della L2 sia in contesti scolastici tradizionali sia al di fuori di essi. Nel 2020, ha cofondato, insieme a Fabiana Fazzi, il gruppo di ricerca MILE (Museums and Innovation in Language Education) con l’obiettivo di progettare esperienze linguistiche trasformative capaci di superare il confine tra scuola e museo.
