Abstract

La enseñanza de español mediada por tecnología: de la justicia social a la inteligencia artificial is a book that explores, from a broad perspective, the teaching of Spanish in technological environments. Edited by Javier Muñoz-Basols (University of Seville and Oxford University), Mara Fuertes Gutiérrez (Open University), and Luis Cerezo (American University), it is published by Routledge, part of the Taylor & Francis group. This work represents a significant contribution to both researchers and educators within the scientific community dedicated to teaching and promoting Spanish worldwide. Notably, it is available as Open Access, made possible through the support of the HISPANEX program and other institutions acknowledged by the editors. The book is specifically aimed at teachers and prospective teachers, researchers, and directors of second and foreign language teaching centers in general, and Spanish language teaching centers in particular.

Author Biography

Cristina Inés Heras, Universidad Nacional de La Plata

Cristina Inés Heras is a teacher of English Language and Literature, Master in Linguistics at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, researcher and English/Spanish interpreter. She currently teaches at the National University of La Plata and Luján in the subject Reading comprehension in English as a Foreign Language and as an evaluator of Spanish as a foreign language. She is the coordinator of the area of Spanish as a Second and Foreign Language (ELSE) at IdHICS (Institute for Research in Humanities and Social Sciences) of the college of Humanities and Education Sciences-UNLP. She has taught courses, workshops and conferences on topics related to her area of research: discourse analysis and didactics of reading comprehension in foreign languages, discourse genres and multimodality in language teaching. She regularly teaches graduate seminars at the University of Seville and in the specialization in teaching Spanish as a second and foreign language at the UNLP. She participates in a research project on the teaching of orality in foreign languages at the Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones Lingüísticas (CEIL) IdHICS-FAHCE. She has published articles on her research topics in conference proceedings and publications of international prestige.
