Abstract

The book reviewed here investigates the phenomenon of interlanguage of related languages and, specifically, the Spanish of Italian learners and the Italian of Spanish learners. The principal aim of this book is the quantitative and qualitative analysis of interlanguage of these two types of learners, through the study of two parallel and longitudinal corpora.

Author Biography

Floriana Di Gesú, Università di Palermo

Floriana Di Gesù is coordinator of the Language Center of the University of Palermo and researcher in Spanish language and translation. Her research lines concern Spanish language and linguistics. Over the past five years, Di Gesú has focused on analyzing the contribution of neuroscience and, in particular, neuroeducation to this discipline. Lately she addresses issues relating to the application of perceptual linguistics to contrastive analysis of Spanish as an L2 and of enactivism applied to the acquisition of Spanish.
