Abstract

This review aims to offer a critical evaluation of the book, Teaching Language Online, by Victoria Russel and Kathryn Murphy- Judy. In the first section of the review, the general topic of the book is discussed, and a brief description of the contents of each chapter is offered. The second section consists of a description of its contents through a critical perspective highlighting its strengths as well as its weaknesses.

Author Biography

Marco Casentini, Sapienza Università di Roma

Marco Casentini is currently pursuing his PhD at the Italian Institute of Oriental Studies, Sapienza University of Rome, with a focus on East Asia. In 2017, he obtained his master’s degree in Modern Languages for International Communication (Chinese and English), at the University of Roma Tre, Italy. He participates in teaching linguistics and Chinese at the University of Roma Tre for the projects POT (orientation and tutoring programs) and PCTO (work-related learning). His research areas are syntax, generative grammar, the acquisition of Chinese as a second language, and the development of language skills in Italian as a native language.
